MPI Inspector

Job Description and Responsibilities
The MPI Inspector is responsible for moving threaded product through a wet fluorescent magnetic particle system, performing a complete full surface visual inspection on the product, and preparing the product for the next manufacturing process. After a robotic deburring process, couplings are automatically loaded into the wet bench where they are submerged in a fluorescent fluid and magnetized via a low-voltage probe. The product is then visually inspected for cracks, deep pits and deep grinds under Ultra Violate and white lighting, cleaned with compressed air and stacked on a pallet. Product that does not pass inspection is reworked by grinding or turning on a lathe. After new hire orientation and on-the-job training has been completed, the MPI Inspector will also be expected and responsible to work within the company’s safety and quality protocol, work in a safe and environmentally responsible manner, transport product to and from their work area, address the deburring and machine scrap operation, and maintain proper inspection equipment operating levels.
