The Director, Business Development, will be responsible for contributing to growing Seaspan Shipyards business by finding new opportunities in target market segments and then developing and leading the capture strategy and plans for those opportunities. Key to this role will be a strategic approach to understanding the breadth and complexity of our customer’s needs and leading the development of strategies and solutions to meet those needs – both technical and non-technical. Working as part of the broader multi-disciplinary Seaspan team, this role will require direct leadership of small capture teams growing to larger temporary teams during proposal activity and collaborative interfaces to many other departments and teams within Seaspan.
Note: This position qualifies for an optional hybrid work schedule after 90 days of onsite work and onboarding. Employee will be subject to the terms of the Flexible Work Policy Agreement. The role is based in our Ottawa office at 1402 – 222 Queen Street.

The estimated salary for this position is $169,800 – $203,800. In determining final salary, Seaspan considers many factors including the successful Candidate’s skillset and experience as well as position location and internal equity. The final base salary offer will be at the Company’s sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.
