Irrigation Technician – Installation and Maintenance Full Time

Main Duties
• Ensure the quality, timeliness, and efficiency of the installation, inspection, and maintenance of irrigation systems.
• Participate in the planning, scheduling, and preparation of upcoming projects.
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation control systems, piping, fittings, sprinklers, and valves.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical components.
• Be proactive with diagnosing and repairing any irrigation issues.
• Perform general and seasonal system maintenance.
• Plan and estimate system start-ups, evaluation, and winterization.
• Perform irrigation system tests and record all relevant details.
• Read diagrams and blueprints to layout and locate irrigation valves and wiring.
• Locate, excavate, and repair or replace damaged or malfunctioning equipment.
• Think critically to solve problems with minimal impact on turf or landscape.
• Establish work schedules and coordinate activities with other units.
• Maintain accurate recordkeeping (e.g., daily logs).
• Resolve work-related issues and submit reports.
• Requisition of supplies and materials, maintain inventory.
• Maintain financial and personnel records.
Employment Requirements
Secondary School
7 months – 1year experience
