Sales Analyst, National Accounts Full Time

Job Description:

The Sales Analyst will support the National Accounts team, ensuring all operational needs of the business are executed effectively and efficiently to deliver on overall segment objectives and mutually aligned customer business plans.

The role is comprised of three areas of responsibility:

Analytical (~40%) – Support team in analysing data and providing recommendations. Tasks will include, but are not limited to promotional effectiveness, ship share analysis, forecasting recommendations, financial evaluations, various reporting/tracking. Sales Support (~40%) – Supporting team and customer in day to day key account maintenance. Tasks will include, but are not limited to new item activation, listing maintenance, ad grid maintenance, deduction clearing, various tracking. Customer Facing Responsibility (~20%) – Responsible for business delivery and customer relationship management of two key banners. Sales Analyst, will leverage multi-functional resource alignment to maximize customer engagement and participate in determining strategy by anticipating and advocating for customer needs.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor degree in related field required
• CPG exposure highly preferred
• 1+ years experience in sales/sales strategy, category or marketing functions, (co-op work experience acceptable in this field)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills. Customer facing experience highly preferred.
• Preferred exposure to customer POS tools (LDIA, Retail Link, Nielsen, etc.)
• Analytical experience (Intermediate to advance level in Excel)

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Supports team with day-to-day operational account management support leveraging increased levels of technology and improving processes to drive efficiency. Maintains and tracks business support tools. (promotional deal sheep approvals, ad grids, deduction management, consumption reporting sales tool updating)
• Executes against customer business plans to deliver all business segment objectives. Including price and promotional planning, new launches
• Provides the team with recommendations on account business opportunities, supported with analysis rooted in facts and data. Summarizes and communicates key learnings form past executions.

• Understand customer plans and their impact on internal/external forecasts, while collaborating with internal Supply Team to improve overall forecast accuracy and plan execution.
• Provides timely information, category expertise and priorities, along with retail organizers to the retail sales organization in addition to consolidating and reporting on retail feedback on executional issues and opportunities.
