Ontario Making Adoption Process Easier for Families

TORONTO — The Ontario government is investing $1.5 million annually in programs and services to make the adoption process easier, a key commitment of the province’s plan to redesign the child welfare system. The funding will help bring more prospective adoptive parents, children and youth together permanently through the development of a centralized intake service and expansion of online matching. It will also provide additional supports and training for families post-adoption.

Canadian Youth looking for work today are experiencing the biggest culture shift in decades. Employers are often looking for experience, even for entry level roles, and have complicated application and onboarding processes. Often times youth are overlooked and written off. This is even more difficult for youth that are experiencing barriers to workforce entry.

Canada Youth Works is part of a national online employment community focused on helping youth across Canada find suitable employment. Through this network, we can connect youth to employers and government funded resources, coast to coast.

We aim to highlight employers who share the CYW vision of drastically reducing youth unemployment. Together, we can ensure that every Canadian youth has meaningful work, Nationwide.
